A day in the life of Stella

Image
I really like my crates and kennels! It help make me feel really safe and secure.  I spend my day lounging on my fluffy bed in my super safe Xpen. It's very important to know how to make my nummies! I get food twice a day along with my insulin. 1.5 level cups of my kibbles plus half a can on delicious magic.  You have to mix it all up. Chop it up good! Then put my thyroid pill on top. It's very important NOT to put water in my foods. Water should not go into foods! I do not like pudding nummies.  I eat in my Xpen. I prefer to eat on the floor, none of this raised feeder nonsense! That is for sissies. I am super polite and wait for the door to be closed before I go gobble! I get my foods and insulin at 6pm each night.  oh nomnomnomnomnomnoms After my dinners is done, I get my insulin injection. Foster mom actually stopped pinching and pulling my skin up at the injection site. It was too easy to get the insul...

We got snow this weekend! No good snow pictures because Foster mom is a wuss! I on the other hand loved the cold! I love to eat giant mouthfuls of snow. So much that I will forget that I am outside to pee... I even got Noodle to try it. Brain freeze for us all. This bed thing is still hard at times That's a little better All the snow is already melting. Bring my snow friend back please? Do you think my forever family might have lots of snow?

LALALALALALALALALALALALA Let's walk slowly around Foster mom and try to get back inside! Surely Foster dad will take this thing off me!

Wait? Is she looking? Let me slowly slink over... I don't think she can see anymore guys! Keep digging Noodle! Yup, we are totally in the clear! She can't see a thing. Just sitting here behaving. Nothing is going on....

Santa Paws?

Rainy and Noodle are telling me about this Santa Paws guy. Apparently he gives gifts during this time of the year.  Do you think he could give me the gift of a new home? Just in case, maybe I should get into the holiday spirit! I am the perfect houndie! I get along with everyone! Do you think this could work?

Am I expensive?

Image
Foster mom got back from Costco this morning and carried 5 lbs of bacon inside. None of us even woke up. We are officially winter hibernating.  The first thing future mommy's and daddy's think about when they hear about a special needs pup, is the COST! Foster mom helped me add up all my costs for each month. Insulin is only $24.88 for a single bottle at Walmart. Right now I am getting 13 units twice a day, so a bottle will last me 41 days. Thirty days days would be about $18.20 for all you math nerds. 100 Box of syringes is $12.58 at Walmart, I only use 60 syringes every 30 days. So that's only $7.55 a month. Each meal I am eating 1/2 a can of Purina Beyond Chicken, Carrot, & Pea each meal. Along with 1.5 cups of Purina Beyond Chicken & Egg kibble . Yum yum!  Foster mom has found my canned food the cheapest at Amazon with the subscribe and save at $16.40 for a case, which is 12 cans. So that's $1.37 per can! $41.10 a month there. T...

I Have a Fairy Godmother!

Image
The doorbell just rang and Noodle started yelling with his hackles up at the window. The box was for ME this time! Who is lucky enough to get deliveries as a Foster dog? ME!  My Fairy Godmother sent a flying sheepy, some cookies, and lots of syringes for my medicine!  I'm not so sure about this toy nonsense, but Noodle says I'm doing it wrong. I guess I'll have to learn! He was very jealous! He's never come inside my little kennel before. Foster mom had to remind him about his two giant bins of toys in this house. This flying sheepy seems nice and soft. All MINE! Did my Fairy Godmother send any belly rubs? Thank you so much for my new stuff!!!!
