Miss Sassy Pants

Image
These pictures that Foster mom takes, just do not do me justice! I am much prettier in real life.  A sneaky picture of me in this hole was finally snapped! Noodle and I are taking turns banking the left side for optimal comfort.  Today is the day I stopped caring if I ate in private. Usually everyone has to leave the room and be super quiet for me to consider eating my meals. That was crazy!  I am hungry!!!!! I may be eating a crazy amount of food twice a day. Being skinny has perks! Foster mom is a liar! Does this look like the face of someone who was playing the peanut gallery outside of her kennel? I would never tell that lady "Chop chop, you are too slow with the food" By the way, my forever home must have a box fan. Box fans are amazing!

Holes are Amazing

Image
Today I've been wanting to spend lots of time outside. I run out the backdoor riteawayquick to the holes in the backyard. They are so comfy for a quick nap. I was showing my foster brother the personalized touches I put on this hole. Foster Mom just won't let us have any private talk time! She wanted me to lay down in my hole so she could take a cute picture. Do I look like a circus monkey? Nope! Not gonna happen lady! My belly has had a super amazing day today. I ate two whole gigantic meals! Foster mom said we need to get something to stick to my ribs before our vet visit on Saturday. She can say anything she wants as long as those delicious nummies keep flowing.

My glucose is low!

Image
Which means cookies in bed! Woot woot! No complaints here! It's a whole day of yums! No low glucose symptoms yet, just a low number of the test machine. Getting tested is so worth it!

Quiet Sunday

Image
I am totally saving these nose nummies for later!  I really like my new food! Foster mom is not such a great cook.... but this new canned stuff is deeeeeeeelicious. I've gobbled 4 meals in a row now! We are hoping that Chewy delivers my new food before Tuesday morning. Foster Mom may have to go out shopping again tomorrow for some more of the nummies.  We had a pretty quiet Sunday around here. We are recovering from the holiday crazy & shopping. Foster mom is stalking the delivery people for boxes. Crazy humans! I decided this morning that I didn't want to lay in Noodle's hole. So I laid on Foster Dad's platform for his shed!

So much horror today!

Please everyone! I NEED HELP! Today was a bad, bad, bad, day...  I had a bath! Outside! Blah Blah Blah... Foster mom said it was in the sun, and with 89 degree water, plus a blower to dry me quickly. Nope! None of that helped!  Then she washed all my blankets and my bed! Foster dad even vacuumed my kennel out and sprayed Angry Orange all over. Nothing smells like me anymore, not even me! It made me forget how to use the bed! You would think it wouldn't get worse, right? Then she dremelled my nails! All of them! I have to learn to hide my feet so that never happens again. There's a rumor that this might happen daily until I get used to the dremel?!?!?! Someone call animal services! I refuse to look at Foster mom any more. She's such a mean mean lady! First thing this morning I went for a quick car ride, I was an excellent traveler, even if her hound mobile is a mess. What's up with this IKEA bag? **DO NOT WATCH THIS VIDE

I did not dig this hole

Image
But I am certainly going to make good use of it! Guess what! I slept through the whole night last night for the first time in my foster home! No pee breaks needed or anything!

Happy Turkey day everyone!

Let's talk about diabetes and Thanksgiving for a minute. My forever family has to be strong enough to not let me have any table scraps on holidays. It could really make me very, very sick. I have to stick to my strict diet. My foster brother & sister got huge special dinners and I'm okay with that. I'm an adult and understand that not everything is always equal.  Today is the first day since I've been here that we sort of have my glucose under control! Foster mom is a little proud of herself. I'm not sure why... It's MY glucose levels. I'm not very good at eating breakfast. So we compromised. I got a large Kirkland milk bone and then my insulin. A milk bone is NOT diabetic approved food, so it was definitely a compromise, but it worked out perfectly! Hopefully I will want to eat a milk bone again tomorrow. Those are my crumbs in the picture. I am a good stalker from my XPen. Whenever my foster brother or sister are interacting with t

Break Out & Cat Safe Proof

Image
I had a super exhausting day yesterday. Foster mom tried to feed me in a raised feeder for the first time. I think I prefer it on the floor! Foster Dad took a video of me eating and then he had the audacity to growl at me, when HE was being too slow for my after nummies outside time. Leaving me to let myself out of my pen. *Warning* Do not watch this video with any liquid or food in your mouth. We are not responsible for and choking or spitting. And yes, I was very proud of my accomplishments Earlier in the week I was outside of my Xpen getting my glucose test done. I tend to like to stay in the safety of the Xpen and watch what goes on. That's how smart hounds stay safe and learn lots! That gets boring after a bit so small adventures out in the house are fun.... Or at least I thought they were! I'm 1000% cat safe! Foster Mom says the pictures are bad, but too funny not to share. So much kitty harassment! She kept rubbing through my legs! Do I look like

When Wood Chips Attack

Image
We had a tiny dramatic incident. A wood chip from the backyard tried to eat my foot! It was so horrible! It was a 2 person fix.

Ear Rubbies for the Win

Image
I must be honest I've been driving Foster mom crazy today. I'm all snuggly in the house, but sometimes a gal just has to play a fun game of stay away in the yard. She just has no humor! She even put a stupid non Martingale collar on me and a stupid leash so I can have to drag it around the yard. How lazy is that! She's not even putting effort into my games! I showed her! I stood there and grounded tied myself in the middle of the yard until Foster dad took the leash off. HE'S the nice one....  Rainey was getting her ears scritches after dinner and I decided that that looked pretty darn comfy. And sometimes you just have to throw these silly humans win. They are such sensitive critters... So I marched right up to my Foster mommy and I stuck my head in her chest and I demanded ear rubbies!   It didn't make Rainy too happy but I got my ear rubs didn't I!

Mastering new skills

Image
That's right, I'm technically completely on this bed! Look at these skillz! I officially got my foster tag collar on today! That other one was getting itchy! I've been pottying outside like a good pup all day long. I'm a good leash walker, but I really like having a yard to go potty in.  I'm a little restless at night time, but tonight I'm going to go into a smaller crate. Foster mom & dad think I may feel safer in there along with my lullaby music.

Decent instructional videos!

Image
We can't all be classy all the time! Foster Dad helped video my glucose test tonight! It was a little high... I'm being tested again in another hour. Testing is super easy for all of us! Foster Mom made sure to get my insulin inside me super fast. As soon as I finished my nummies. I was super hungry tonight. Is that a side effect of high numbers? Anyways my insulin shot is super easy too! I mean, of course it is, I am a perfect big kid! I'm even slowly learning about this fluffy huge bed thing!

Singing?

Image
First she thought we were all NUTS. She stayed in her corner and tried to ignore us all. *boring video, but loud with singing* Then I left to run errands. Get some more diabetic syringes, insulin, and stabby things. Foster Dad sent me this video! Miss Stella whisper roos! She wouldn't stop the whole time I was gone! LOL *adorable cuteness, turn the volume up*

Resting today

Doing a lot of resting today! Yesterday was action packed! A gal this pretty needs her beauty rest

Post Breakfast Modeling

Image
Early this morning, after breakfast, we tried to have an amazing glamour shot photo session as the rain let up a bit.  Do you SEE what my foster brother is doing? We can't get anything serious done around here... I'm living with ingrates.  I am so pretty and pretty and pretty and sniff.... Excuse me door opening lady? Have you forgotten how to do your job?
